We all love to kick ass at school or work, burst with energy, creativity and spread good vibes wherever we go, but in all honesty, none of us can go full in without taking a break and leave it all behind sometimes. The world needs to wait and we need to take time for ourselves because we won’t go a long way without it. I always have this itch to get out and wander, I like to keep my free days active – but there are days when I just need to have a day in on my own. A day or a few hours just for myself when I shut the mess in my head – because in the end of the day, it’s all about the simplest things which can change our mood for the better. Here are a few of my tips on how to unwind, de-stress and have the much-needed you-time.
Hello wanderlettes!🌼I’ve been thinking of doing a beauty article for so long – and it’s finally happening! I’m gonna show you my favourite quick & easy, spring makeup look.
Those, who know me well, can tell how much of a makeup addict I am! My love for makeup is all about creating looks expressing my mood or attitude, or just playing with colours and structures really. For me, a face is a canvas and I simply enjoy painting on it. A nice makeup can instantly brighten up my mood or make a great start to a new day.
Spring finally decided to arrive to Copenhagen! After a long and dreadful winter, my favourite time of the year is here. However, just to keep it very-Copenhagen cool, there are still days when the hard wind ruins your hair the moment you get out, makes you bike backwards rather than forward and when the sky is just pouring the heaviest rain on you. On days like this, I just want to hide under the blanket and pretend I’m still dreaming.
Hello Wanderlettes! How was your week?🌸
I’m actually so ready to chill this weekend because this week I managed to get a bit more organised and actually got lots of stuff done – even though my social life suffered a bit, but well, sometimes it calls for sacrifices! (and I hope I’ll make it up to it over the weekend!). Anyways, past week was full of photo shoots, despite the tragic weather we’ve had here in Copenhagen! I really am awaiting the first sunny days with excitement, so please, be spring!
Fashion weeks – that exciting time of the year when catwalk dreamlands are created to show us an artistic perception of fashion, craftsmanship mastered to perfection and to inspire and give us an idea what the next big trends will be. Trends which will be soon seen everywhere, from high-end boutiques to clothes section of your local supermarkets. Are you also wondering what trends is the booming Danish fashion industry dictating for the Autumn-Winter 2017? Let’s dive into it then!
You know those days – when you aren’t really making it on time anywhere because you just have so much crap to do, people are still waiting for your replies and days are passing by quicker than they should. Lately, I have had way too many late nights and even more early mornings, with no time to make that breakfast porridge – and basically, having my shit together became a nearly forgotten memory. I mean – yesterday, I actually realised that we’re at the end of February! What’s even happening?
31st January – 2nd February – Copenhagen Fashion Week, my favourite part of every season in the small Scandi capital. What is by so many seen as a small child of world’s famous fashion week, is a mekka of booming Danish design, which is without a doubt, establishing its reputation both in Scandinavia and the world. Still living off the vibes of the celebration of fashion, art and craftsmanship, I’m bringing you my absolute top looks of this season’s fashion week.
With the end of every year, I get really nostalgic. I recap everything that has happened that year in my head and then always regret I never archive my memories. I don’t do New Year’s resolutions, but the one I want to keep for this year is writing my memories down – and I’m starting right now.
2016 was a bit weird year for me – sometimes oh so special, and other times just so dull. Maybe it was like that because it was a mix of great adventures, important obligations, happiness and sadness, doing the known and a lot of the unknown. It was full of really high ups and low downs, but somewhere in this chaos, I managed to live moments which I don’t ever wanna forget and which I want to share with you.
It’s that time of the year again – the streets are sparkling with golden glitter of decorative lights, smelling of mulled wine. The shopping windows are telling us their fairy tales and the sister winter is whispering, that it’s without doubt, Christmas time.
Not even knowing how quickly the time has passed, I realised that the third advent Sunday is gone and I’m “a bit” late with everything this year – tasks on my to-do list, my projects, Christmas shopping and even my own wishlist. Maybe you have accomplished and done everything you wanted this year; and maybe, your head is just like a broken record, reminding you what still needs to be done.
Last weekend here in Copenhagen was so, SO gorgeous! I woke up to those beautiful, simply perfect autumn days. Just the way I love it. It was this kind of weekends when you party at night, are way too lazy to get out to the world, so you just make a cup of coffee and go back to bed to chill. This weekend, I had this kind of days.
Well, it was a weekend filled with friends, good music and parties, slow walks, nice coffee and sweet breakfasts – exactly what you deserve after a long week. I had this Friday’s party fever the whole week and couldn’t wait to go out and just have fun. Me and my girls decided to hit the party in Chateau Motel, one of Copenhagen’s “to be” venues on Friday night. And there I fell in love – with this electronic trio called Norell, which I never heard of before, but gosh, I couldn’t get enough of them. I think you should definitely check them out!
Saturday was another party day, this time we released our make-up artists skills to create some cute Halloween faces. However, I still couldn’t compete with my roomie, dressed up as Bellatrix from Harry Potter – she was indeed my favourite costume out there! Oh yeah, what were you for Halloween? Besides this, I went out to explore Nørrebro, baked a banana bread, and started decorating my room. Just chilling.
