How to: easy spring makeup look

Hello wanderlettes!🌼I’ve been thinking of doing a beauty article for so long – and it’s finally happening! I’m gonna show you my favourite quick & easy, spring makeup look.

Those, who know me well, can tell how much of a makeup addict I am! My love for makeup is all about creating looks expressing my mood or attitude, or just playing with colours and structures really. For me, a face is a canvas and I simply enjoy painting on it. A nice makeup can instantly brighten up my mood or make a great start to a new day.

spring make-upWith the spring being in the air (hello Denmark, stop the rain!), I swapped my winter makeup darkness for somewhat lighter colours. I don’t necessarily go for the vibrant or pastel shades which could be traditionally linked to spring/summer – I rather opt for colour palette which is more “me.” I am all about earthy tones at the moment and so is this makeup look.

spring make up lookThis look is easy and quick, natural but still sophisticated. It’s so easy that you can do it with a hand mirror from the back of the car and you’ll only need a few products to create it. I carry a few of these products in my handbag together with my favourite hand mirror which I got from BeWooden –  a brand I discovered at design market way back, in Slovakia and fell in love with their designs. This mirror is tiny, minimalistic and so unique (and handmade!) that I just finally had to get it. When I talked to they guys from BeWooden about it, they were sweet enough to offer my readers a 10% off all their products, using a code: thewanderlette.

I started off with my usual base – my trusted L’Oréal True Match foundation in shade Rose Vanilla, Pupa Luminys Baked All Over bronzer in No.2 and Pupa Eyebrow Design Set in No.2. I generally love when skin looks like skin, so I don’t usually go too wild with the base.

Here I have  my foundation, bronzer and eyebrows on – so let’s make the rest springy!

For this look, I used the bronze eyeshadow from the Sephora palette (I believe this one was sold out after Christmas, but I’m pretty sure you’ll be able to find something similar).

sephora eyeshadow paletteI applied the eyeshadow all over my lid – with a brush and just smudged it all over. When I’m in hurry or just do my makeup on the go, I always use fingers to apply the eyeshadow and it doesn’t matter whether they are powder or creamy in the texture – it really works and gives it this effortless look.

Even though I have a weakness for perfectly neat eyeliner – there’s something about this messy look you can create just with smudging it a bit. It’s effortless and a little grunge.

eyeliner applicationOne of the things I learned from my mum in terms of makeup is to always curl my eyelashes. I remember I was so fascinated by it when I was observing her makeup ritual as a little girl. The truth is – a good eyelash curler really does wonders, so I always use it before I apply my mascara. Right now, I’m using the Shu Uemura curler and it’s the best! After my lashes were curled,  I applied the Gosh Waterproof Volume mascara.

I’ve been for so long looking for a colour which would complement the natural colour of my lips and I feel like this one works really well for me. It’s also pretty moisturizing and creamy in texture, without leaving a too shiny finish – just perfect.

I wear it literally every single day at the moment and find it really easy to wear as well as touch it up or build it up a bit in the evening. Let me know what do you think about it and what’s your favourite, go-to spring look! I’m always happy to get new inspiration and tips! ❤️
