These summer days in Denmark are warm, lazy and beautiful. What is better than taking a walk under the sun and being carefree for a second, shut down the busy world around you? Botanical Garden in Odense is such place, a place where you should go if you want to slow down. At the moment, all its flowers are blooming and it’s such a little hidden paradise. That’s why me and my friend Lisa decided to do a little photo shoot there!
I don’t know if it’s just me or there’s something about these classic houses with plants on the walls. Every time I see one I have to stop and admire it. To me, they have this small town and cozy vibe and I could totally imagine living in one!
What is your favourite flower or tree? These white flowers remind me of a blooming elderflower tree. When I was little, living in a small village, me and my granny would always go collect the elderflower for an amazing sirup she used to make, and by today, I still remember its exact taste and elderflower lemonades are my favourite.
In general, I’m not very into floral patterns and I own maybe two pieces like that in total. But when I saw this Monki oversized blazer in last weekend’s flea market at Farvergården, I instantly fell in love with it. It’s not too crazy colourful (those who know me also know that for me, black colour is the thing!), the floral pattern gives it boho vibes, it’s pretty tasteful and I think the blue is just bright enough.
As I’m pretty minimalistic, I paired the blazer with black crop top from H&M and my absolutely favourite black skinny jeans from Topshop. They’re seriously the best skinny jeans EVER, super stretchy and they fit perfectly! Accessories wise, I thought something subtle would work best so I decided to go with the necklace from Pull&Bear and tiny silver earrings.
The earrings and bracelets are from my last travels in Vietnam. One of the bracelets is actually handmade by a girl who runs a family owned shop located in one of the villages in Sapa Mountains (I will do a detailed trip guide about it at some point!). She explained me how she made it from melted coins. I got the same bracelets also for my girls (the ones I went to Malmö with, link below). She was so kind and hoped we’d love to wear them! I really do and I rarely take it off. I just love these kind of interactions and getting pieces from people who really put their hearts in whatever they’re doing.

I’m not so much of a shoe addict. I have a few shoes, but always having one pair of shoes I’d just wear with everything is a must for me. At the moment, such shoes are definitely these black ones from a Swedish brand called Cheap Monday. You can get them in Weekday stores or order them online here.
I love walks. Walking around gardens and parks is always so calming to me. In this one, you can always find people walking their dogs, sitting on a bench or even barbecuing! Every now and then there is a wedding photo shoot going on. Besides that, the place is really peaceful and perfect to just pop in and chill with a book.
So if you’re in Odense, definitely don’t miss this place. Have a stroll, picnic, whatever you like, and enjoy the calmness of this flowery garden. Do you have a favourite place where you go to decompress and calm your mind? Whether it’s in Denmark or somewhere else in the world, let me know in the comments below! ♥
